Roachdale – William B. Ira Rayfield,
93, of Roachdale died Saturday in Golden Manor Nursing Home at Ladoga where he
had been a patient three weeks. A native of Weogufka, Ala, Mr. Rayfield had
lived most of his life in the Roachdale are and was a retired farmer. In 1911
he was married to Mildred Maude Heacock, who survives. He was a member of the
United Methodist Church and a 50-year-member of Roachdale Masonic Lodge.
Surviving with the wife are three sons, Fred Rayfield of Hammond, Benton
Rayfield of Paris, K and William R. Rayfield of Rt 2, Roachdale; one
daughter, Mary at home and a sister, Betty Taylor of Alexander City, Ala. - kbz
